Maldon Salt have been hand-harvesting its famous pyramid-shaped flakes for over 140 years using the same time-honoured techniques for four generations with the Osborne family. During that time Maldon Salt flakes have remained constant, though the packaging it sits in has evolved over the years, to become a globally recognised brand, loved by chefs the world over.
It was in 1882 when the son of Queen Victoria, Edward VII was king - when Maldon Salt began operating. Through all these years, although much has changed, the Maldon pyramid flake has been a constant. Today Maldon Salt is a world-renowned culinary brand, home cooks and chefs love and cherish.
Every Maldon outer box is recyclable, and we proudly support the work of the World Land Trust protecting threatened habitats and wildlife. All of our cardboard boxes are being made using a carbon balanced carton.
